I'm Casey Baker, and I'm all about soaking up the San Diego sun with my amazing family. We're fortunate to have plenty of family members right here in town, so our days are often filled with laughter and good times at local parks, backyard barbecues, or spontaneous karaoke nights. Whether we're splashing around in the pool or belting out tunes, family time is always a blast.
As a mom of two amazing daughters, I'm all about sharing my passions with them. We spend countless hours together in the garden, nurturing and harvesting the vegetables that survive. Crafting is another favorite pastime, where we let our creativity run wild with paints, glitter, and all sorts of DIY projects. And while my girls are still young, I'm eagerly looking forward to introducing them to the joys of fishing and camping. There's nothing quite like taking the time to unplug from the bustle of everyday life to bond with nature and each other.
After graduating from UC Davis, I embarked on a deeply rewarding journey working with special needs and at-risk youth within the foster care and detention sectors, as well as many years within the San Diego School District as a Behavior Specialist. This role, though undeniably challenging, provided me with profound opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals. However, as I contemplated starting a family, I made the decision to transition to a new career path that allowed more flexibility and less stress. At the same time, my father’s business, Sungenia Solar Solutions, was starting to grow and he was looking for assistance. The stars had aligned and I found a new path.
I joined Sungenia in 2018 and since then have been part of every aspect of the business except for the installations themselves (although I did help haul panels on my first house in Santee). Currently, I am the business operations manager and soon-to-be part owner as my dad and his partner are retiring soon.
